Alec Motyer 1924 - 2016

It has been a great blessing to the Parish of Poynton to have counted Alec as one of our members. During his time with us Alec regularly preached.  Some of these sermons have been recorded and Alec kindly gave permission for them to be made available on-line. There is also a few “extra” talks which were not given at St  George’s.

He commented that, “They would be a good cure for insomnia”. On this occasion I fear that Alec’s judgement was severely flawed. Alec had an engaging way of opening up Scripture so that one is informed, challenged and excited by the Word of God.

These sermons are in mp3 format. Some were originally recorded on cassette tape and, if they exceeded 30 minutes, may end abruptly - missing the final sentence or two.   These have been included in the list and, I believe,  are still well worth listening to.
